Jack Martin

CO-FOUNDER

Jack spearheads relationships at 52TEN, overseeing property acquisitions and the firm’s capital partnerships.

Over the last 20 years, Jack’s businesses have been involved in more than $350 million in real estate projects, including land development; construction; and the acquisition, renovation, and disposition of thousands of properties across a variety of asset classes.

After serving in the US Army, Jack began his entrepreneurial journey as a general contractor, specializing in land development and custom homes. He spent the next 14 years with an Arizona-based real estate capital management company, where he became adept at sourcing real estate and fostering relationships with capital partners. Jack joined Nate in 2016 as a co-founder at 52TEN to focus on manufactured housing communities. Jack is known for his strong communication skills and his understanding of what it takes to build lasting relationships.

Outside of real estate, Jack dedicates his time to his family, the outdoors, and teaching personal development. He lives in Phoenix with his wife and seven children.

Nate Pattee

CO-FOUNDER

Nate leads the financial planning at 52TEN, overseeing asset management and strategy for the portfolio.

Nate’s experience over the last 20 years includes commercial development, commercial brokerage, real estate marketing, and portfolio management of multifamily and manufactured home communities. He has participated in the acquisition and disposition of over $300 million in commercial real estate.

After graduating from Purdue University, Nate moved to Arizona and joined The Weitz Company, where he gained extensive development and construction experience. At Marcus & Millichap, he became adept at underwriting and brokering commercial transactions. He built a successful marketing business that serviced the real estate industry before serving as an asset manager for a portfolio of multifamily communities.

In 2016, Nate co-founded 52TEN to focus on manufactured housing communities. He currently serves on the board of the MHCA in Arizona. Outside of real estate, Nate spends most of his free time in the great outdoors, enjoying live music, and grilling BBQ. He lives in Phoenix with his wife and two children.

Tom Barrett

FRACTIONAL CFO

Raised in Northern Virginia, Tom Barrett spent 20+ years in Southern California before moving to Salt Lake City in 2017 when he joined BVD. He has an extensive and multifaceted career in real estate, accounting and finance. Previously a CFO and CIO for family offices and private/public companies, he has managed a $1B private investment portfolio including securities, private equity, hedge funds, and venture capital. Tom’s background includes executive positions with a REIT, real estate syndicator, real estate investment firm, real estate distressed debt fund, and a property management company.

As BVD’s Chief Investment Officer (CIO), Tom is responsible for capital raising, investor communications, investment analysis, and investor reporting. He enjoys the challenge and energy associated with our close-knit, entrepreneurial team, and believes Salt Lake City is an exciting market with plenty of opportunities for acquisition and development.

Tom graduated from the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce and holds multiple securities licenses. He is a credentials as a certified public account, chartered financial analyst, and certified financial planner.

Maria Wilson-Simon,

CMCA, AMS, ACM

DIRECTOR OF PROPERTY OPERATIONS

Maria oversees the operational performance of 52TEN’s mobile home community portfolio. She provides leadership, guidance, and training to our amazing property management and maintenance staff. She is responsible for ensuring that our onsite teams provide exceptional customer services and that our communities are pristinely maintained.

Maria has over 20 years of property management and construction experience with a primary focus on commercial, residential, manufactured, resort-style properties. She honed her experience within the manufactured housing industry working for various REITs and obtaining property management and real estate designations. She is a graduate of Harford Community College where she focused on Human Resource Management.

When not working, Maria spends her time traveling, practicing her archery and photography skills, and spending time with her family and friends.

Abbey Olivo

MARKETING MANAGER

Abbey oversees the marketing department at 52TEN, including both the corporate brand and the community portfolio. Her experience combines over 15 years of sales and marketing, focused on upscale brands and the customer experience.

Commencing her sales and marketing journey at a young age, Abbey swiftly ascended to a leadership position within the senior housing sector in 2006. Simultaneously, she honed her expertise in property management, running several apartment complexes for Gibraltar Real Estate in downtown Seattle while pursuing her studies at Washington State University’s global campus.

In 2012, she transitioned from senior housing to the maritime industry, assuming leadership of an international brand, with territories extending across the Americas and Europe. Her portfolio includes extensive involvement in high-impact ventures such as comprehensive rebranding endeavors and website overhauls, with a dedicated focus on enhancing user experience and interface design.

Abbey resides just outside of Seattle, Washington with her husband, two daughters and Pomsky. They enjoy spending time outdoors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, traveling, playing and watching sports, and cooking together.

52TEN Elysia Perrine Finance

Elysia Perrine, MSA

FINANCE MANAGER

Elysia oversees the finance department at 52TEN, including all bookkeeping and accounting. She is a forward-thinking problem solver and is diligent in providing accurate financials.

Elysia earned her Master of Science in Accountancy with honors from the University of Phoenix in 2013. After earning that distinction, she provided independent bookkeeping services to the real estate industry, particularly for owners of mobile home and RV parks. 52TEN became her client in 2018 and her permanent home in 2021.

Elysia is a wife and a mother of three who enjoys all things healthy and chocolatey. She and her family love adventuring to national parks and hiking – the simple things.

Ben Wintroub

Acquisitions Manager

Ben is the newest addition to the acquisitions team at 52TEN.

His experience over the last two decades encompasses commercial real estate from both the brokerage and title and escrow sides. Ben began his commercial real estate career at Stewart Title & Trust of Phoenix in 2005, where, in the following six years, he closed well over 500 commercial transactions ranging from office condos to golf courses, manufactured housing communities, and multifamily developments. Most recently, he was a broker with Mueller & Hoffman Manufactured Housing, where he closed nearly $40 million worth of manufactured housing communities across Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Oregon, as well as mentoring over a dozen new agents at the firm.

He also had a seven-year career as a commercial photographer, serving clients across the Mountain West. Since 2016, he has donated his time and expertise to the military community, providing over 300 professional business headshots to men and women transitioning out of active duty into the civilian workforce through Hire Heroes USA.

Beyond the business world, he enjoys playing music, creating digital art, and writing children’s books (mostly just for his son). He’s an avid weightlifter and can often be found under the hood of a car. He lives in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, with his wife and son.
